Generally the two most popular ways to finance your Spanish Property are
(1) Use a Spanish mortgage. Many developers offer financing for up to 70% of the purchase price of a property, subject to status. Therefore the buyer is normally expected to have access to the remaining 30% as a cash deposit which is paid for in stages over 4-6 months after signing of contracts (for this you will need the help of a Spanish lawyer - our agents can help you find a good quality English speaking lawyer).
(2) Leverage equity on your own property. Normally it is possible to borrow up to 75% of the equity in your UK property, and this often proves simpler than one might assume. Make sure you are aware of your mortgage providers terms and conditions before you release equity in your UK property.
